Fabulous fundraising

0

A huge thank you to all children and families for their generous donations this week.

Through our school council activities we have raised just under £150!

This will go a long way in making a difference to the lives of many. Well done!

School council have have been amazing this week.  Their dedication, organisation and enthusiasm had made our fundraising a great success!

The winner of ‘guess the name of the bear’ and the winner of ‘guess the number of spots on Pudsey’ were both Y3 children.  Congratulations and enjoy those lovely fluffy Pudsey toys!

At this week’s meeting we discussed:

  • Playground equipment
  • KS2 Playtimes
  • Children in Need

We did a survey about playground equipment last week.

We analysed all the data we collected and have ordered more equipment which will be arriving soon.

School Council have discussed using zones at playtime, so there are more activities for children to take part in during playtime.

We are really looking forward to sharing these with you soon!

For Children in Need this year, School Council will be running some exciting activities… Watch this space for more information!

Children in Need

The School Council are very keen to organise and be involved with fundraising for Children in Need on Friday 13th November. The school council has decided on a spotty theme to link with Pudsey Bear! The school council are asking for children and staff to come to school in their school uniform but with one spotty item. The school council feel that the possibilities are endless… from spotty socks, to spotty hair, a spotty tie or a spotty shirt!

The School Council will also be organising a cake sale to raise money for Children in Need. We are asking the children in KS1 to bring cakes as last year KS2 provided them. The cake sale will take place in the new hall at the end of the school day so all children, parents and siblings will be able to buy a cake.

All cakes will be priced at 20p!

If children would like to make a donation on Friday 13th, we are suggesting they may like to donate this from their own pocket money or savings they could even earn it by being helpful at home. This donation might only be a few pence but the children would know it had come from helping them to understand the true nature of the fund raising.

The school council have been involved in deciding the fundraising activities for Children in Need this year.

Children in Need takes place on Friday 14th November. All staff and children can make a contribution to come dressed as a superhero or spotty for the day!

There will also be a cake sale which will be ran by the school council. 🙂
